Main difference

XHTML stands for Extensible Hypertext Markup Language. It is used to create web pages. It is based on XML and is derived from HTML. It has file extensions that include .xhtml, .xht, .xml, .html, and .htm. The origin of information technology comes from the recommendation of the World Wide Web Consortium in 2000. Its Internet media types are applications / xhtml + xml. The XHTML format type is Markup Language.
