An artery is described as a conduit whose function is to transport blood from an individual’s heart to the rest of the body. It is evident that the blood carried by the arteries is oxygenated, so the color of the blood tends to be a brighter or lighter red.
Similarly, it can be inferred that since arteries carry blood directly from the heart, the blood pressure in them is higher. This blood pressure varies depending on a high, produced during cardiac contraction, which is called systolic pressure and a minimum pressure or diastolic pressure. Additionally, we can limit that the walls of the arteries are very resistant and also very elastic.
