Difference between Tacos and Flautas

There are many varieties of tacos. A particularly popular one in Mexico, especially in the central areas, are the golden tacos. These are nothing but a common tortilla with some ingredient such as potato, chicken, beef, among others, in the middle. This is rolled with the tortilla until obtaining a tubular shape. Subsequently, the taco is carefully fried until the tortilla turns golden brown. The fillings and accompaniments of the golden tacos vary depending on the region. However, they are almost always accompanied by sour cream, cheese, lettuce and sauce.

The flautas are almost the same as the golden tacos. The only thing that sets them apart from tacos is that flautas are made with larger tortillas, so flautas are longer and thinner than tacos.
