Swordfish or gladiators are related, although not very closely, to marlins. They are large migratory fish that are also highly valued for sport hunting. Its meat is considered to have better flavor and texture than that of marlin.

Habitat Marlins prefer warm, shallow waters even though they live offshore. It is easiest to find them in the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans. Swordfish also prefer tropical and temperate waters. It is much more common to find it throughout the Pacific Ocean.
