Difference Between Punjabi and Gujarati

Main difference

These are not casts but are titles for people from different states or regions of India. One state is Punjab of people known as Punjabis, one state is Gujarat of people known as Gujaratis. Each sector has its own language; the Punjab which contains the majority of the Sikh community speaks Punjabi. Those in south-central India (Calcutta) speak Gujarat (Pradesh province), and so on.

What is Punjabi?

Punjabis are people from Punjab. Most of them follow Sikhism and are not vegetarian. They speak Punjabi. Punjab has been a state of very industrious and industrious people who have always excelled in agricultural production.

What is Gujarati?

A Gujarati is from a state/region in Western India near the India-Pakistan border called Gujarat. They speak Gujarati and most are vegetarian. Gujarat today has the highest employment rates and the per capita income of the people is among the highest in India.

  5. The Gujarati follow the Hindu religion and follow a more spiritual path and are mostly vegetarian, while the Punjabis are Hindus and Sikhs who wear turbans.
  6. The Punjabi language is very fluent and suits a calm tone of voice, while the Gujarati language is more expressive and the way words are pronounced can sometimes show whether what the speaker is saying is positive or negative.
  7. The most famous Gujarati personality in India today is business tycoon Mukesh Ambani (CEO of Reliance Industries), while the most famous Punjabi personality in India is Dr. Manmohan Singh, the Prime Minister of India in the present.
  8. Both Punjabi and Gujarati have their own writing styles other than Hindi.
