Difference between Natural Gas and LP Gas
Currently there are two types of gases that are used for activities such as washing clothes, heating bath water, preparing food, drying clothes, heating a room, among other functions.
These two gases are known as natural gas and LP gas, if you do not know their difference, you may be able to confuse them. Next, we explain what each of these gases is and their main differences.

A natural gas is the result of a mixture of hydrocarbons, especially methane and other gases. This occurs naturally in different environments such as rocky structures, water reservoirs, oceans, lake bottoms, among others.
When natural gas is extracted, materials such as solids and water are removed, so it can be used as fuel and marketed.
Like LP gas, it does not have an odor, therefore, a chemical odor is added that makes it easy to identify it in the event of a leak. It is estimated that there is currently a global gas reserve sufficient to supply the population for at least 100 more years.
Natural gas reaches its final destination through different processes. It reaches industries, businesses and homes through a network of gas pipelines, which are made of polyethylene and steel.

What is LP gas?
By its acronym it means: Liquefied Petroleum Gas. This hydrocarbon is obtained during the refining of oil. It is said to be liquefied because through a process of compression and cooling it can be stored in liquid form.
In order to use LP gas in a house, you must have a stationary tank or interchangeable cylinders. This container must be in open air, ventilated areas and on a solid base. All the above measures will avoid risks of explosions or leaks.

- Natural gas cannot be distributed over long distances. LP gas can reach any part of a region.
- The heating power of natural gas is not as powerful as that of LP gas .
