What is it? | On the one hand, an eau de toilette is a light fragrance that, rather than flavoring, has the function of refreshing while leaving a light aroma. These fragrances have higher levels of alcohol and other solvents that, when evaporated, make the aroma well perceived even from a distance, although this effect lasts less. | Compared to an eau de toilette, an eau de parfum has higher levels of hold. These types of fragrances have higher amounts of fixing oils and less alcohol and solvents. This causes the fragrance to be better appreciated at short distances, although for longer. |
Concentration | The aromatic essences in an eau de toilette have a concentration that does not exceed 10%. | In contrast, the concentration in fragrances of this type is between 10 and 15%. |
Duration | The duration of the aroma of an eau de toilette is reduced to a maximum of 4 hours. | Therefore, the aroma of an eau de parfum usually lasts on average between 4 and 5 hours. |
