The next thing is that people often mix at the two recreational venues, as they both have ‘Disney’ in their names. Although, enthusiastic tourists can differentiate them based on availability and their selected locations, as Disney World is located in Orlando, Florida, while Disneyland is located in Anaheim, California.In addition, Disney World is home to four theme parks, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, while Disneyland is home to the two theme parks, known as Disnelyland Park and Disney California Adventure.
What is Disneyland?
As mentioned above, Disneyland is home to two theme parks, one of which, Disneyland Park was opened on July 18, 1955. Furthermore, it is the only park designed and built under the direct supervision of Walt Disney. The famous cartoonist Walt Disney thought of improvising his idea of making a spectacular amusement park after he and his daughter visited different recreational parks in the 1930s and 1940s. Initially, Disneyland was launched with a total area of 160 acres and with multiple renovations and construction, today Disneyland sits on over 500 acres.
What is Disney World?
Walt Disney World: The theme park located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, opened on October 1, 1971 with just one Magic Kingdom theme park and two hotels: Dinsey’s Contemporary Resort and Dinsey’s Polynesian Resort. And today it is proud to have four theme parks, which are one of the most important reasons for making it the most visited resort in the world, with a huge attendance of more than 52 million a year.
- Disneyland opened on July 18, 1955 after special press even on the ABC television network aired from the site, while Walt Disney World opened on October 1, 1971.
- Walt Disney World is much larger than the previously established Disneyland, as Walt Disneyland covers around 27,520 acres (43 square miles), while Disneyland has around 500 acres (0.78 square miles).
- Both rrsorts tried to provide luxury to the visitors, although the size and technology could be different, but another notable difference between both parks is that Dinsyland has no water park, while Walt Dinsy World has two water parks located in it.
