It also controls and initiates the voluntary activities of the body and coordinates them with each other, while the cerebellum is the part of the brain located posteriorly and inferiorly. It comes in the hindbrain and is present at the back of the skull in the cranial cavity. Its function is to initiate and regulate the muscular activity of our organism.

It has many grooves and convolutions. These two cerebral hemispheres are interconnected through a structure called the corpus callosum. Each cerebral hemisphere is divided into four lobes; frontal lobe, parietal lobe, temporal lobe, and occipital lobe. These lobes have different functions; they have areas that are related to specific functions. The frontal lobe performs functions such as speech, movement, emotions, and planning; the parietal lobe is associated with some movement and perception; The occipital lobe is responsible for all vision processes and the temporal lobe deals with hearing, memory, and speech. The cerebrum is believed to be much older than all other parts of the brain.

The cerebellum is a hub for the hindbrain, it is smaller than the cerebrum but is the second largest part of the brain and is situated above the posterior cranial fossa of the skull. It is also called the little brain of the body. It has 10% of the volume of the brain but has 50% of the neurons in the entire brain. It is further divided into these lobes; Central lobe or vermis and Two lateral lobes or cerebellar hemisphere. The cerebellum has two main functions, one to maintain a proper posture of a body in every state, and another is to maintain balance when standing or walking, etc.
